博士,教授;2016年毕业于四川大学华西临床医学院(博士研究生),并留院工作于华西医院老年医学中心/国家老年疾病临床医学研究中心,2017-2021年在美国德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校(The University of Texas at Austin)完成博士后及Research Associate研究工作。现任四川大学华西医院科技部副部长。
围绕主动健康和老龄化科技应对,长期聚焦“老年睡眠与认知障碍早期精准防控”基础和临床研究,主持包括国家自然科学基金(青年/面上)及国家科技创新2030脑科学和主动健康老龄化科技应对重大/重点项目在内的国家/省部级课题9项;在各级学术刊物发表论文50余篇(SCI论文38篇),以第一和通讯作者(含共同)在JAMA Internal Medicine (中科院1区TOP, IF=22.5,独立一作)、Cell Metabolism (中科院1区TOP, IF= 27.7,封面/共一)、Nature Aging (中科院1区TOP, IF=17,共一)等医学权威期刊发表论文15篇,他引近千次(谷歌学术);单篇最高引用178次;研究成果被哈佛大学老年医学中心主任Sharon Inouye教授、美国国立老龄化研究部主任Ken Covinsky教授等高度肯定,被JAMA、Lancet等医学顶刊及指南广泛引用。授权发明专利和软著7项,临床转化和应用6项;院企合作项目(含转化)80万; 参编规划教材/国外专著8部/标准4部; 担任中华医学会医学科学研究管理学分会青年委员、中国睡眠研究会青年委员、中国康复医学会慢病康复专委会委员、中国医学装备协会医疗器械创新与应用分会常委、《Precision Clinical Medicine》青年编委、《International Journal of Nursing Sciences》编委等多项学术任职。 2023年入选四川省省级青年科技菁英人才;2024年获华夏医学科技奖二等奖(3/10)、四川省医学会科技推广奖二等奖(1/8)。
Professor Yanyan Wang graduated from the West China School of Medicine at Sichuan University as with a doctoral degree in 2016 and has since been engaged in the Geriatric Department and National Clinical Research Center for Geriatrics of West China Hospital, Sichuan University. From 2017 to 2021, she completed Postdoctoral Fellowship and worked as a Research Associate at The University of Texas at Austin in the United States. Currently, she is Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department at West China Hospital, Sichuan University. Focusing on active health and technological responses to aging, Dr. Wang has dedicated herself to both basic and clinical research on "early and precise prevention and control of sleep disorders and cognitive impairment in the older adults." She has led 9 national and provincial-level projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth/General) as well as Major/Key Projects under China's National Science and Technology Innovation 2030 initiative concerning Brain Science and Technological Responses to Active Health Aging. To date, she has published over 50 papers across various academic journals (38 indexed in SCI), including JAMA Internal Medicine (IF=22), Cell Metabolism (IF=27.7; cover/featured article) and Nature Aging (IF=17). Her work has been widely cited and commented by high impact medical journals and guidelines such as JAMA and Lancet. Seven invention patents and software Copyrights have been authorized, and six have been clinically transformed and applied. Participated in the compilation of 8 planned textbooks/foreign monographs regarding with Geriatrics or Gerontology, as well as 4 standards for long-term care. Dr. Wang has been selected as a young science and technology talent in Sichuan Province in 2023. In 2024, she won the Second Prize of the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award (3/10), and the Second Prize of the Sichuan Medical Association Science and Technology Promotion Award (1/8).润色

The primary goal of the proposed research is to determine whether treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in older adults with mild cognitive impairment delays cognitive decline and preserves everyday function. Additional potential study benefits are increased understanding of the physiological mechanisms for cognitive decline in oaMCI and OSA, and the characteristics of those most likely to benefit from this treatment.

The purpose of this pilot clinical trial is to determine whether restless legs syndrome is a mechanism for nighttime agitation in Alzheimer’s Disease patients, and if treatment with gabapentin enacarbil (Horizant®) reduces nighttime agitation, improves sleep, reduces restless legs syndrome behaviors, and reduces antipsychotic medications.

The purpose of this pilot clinical trial in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is to determine the effects of continuous positive airway pressure on cognitive and everyday function in persons with mild cognitive impairment. This project has been finished, and I worked on writing and submitting the manuscripts, as well as secondary analysis.
